Many of us have semi-conflicting relationships with our coworkers. It's great to get along with them but also keep your distance. Most people are perfectly normal, but there will definitely be people around you just trying to get ahead, even when the stakes are extremely low. We all also have that one coworker that cannot stop trying to build a tight friendship while you're just trying to get your work done. You can't exactly tell them to shut the f*ck up because its bad for morale, but boy wouldn't it feel great to be able to press mute on them from time to time? You also have to perfect that fake laugh of yours when your superior walks in and begins to tell you about the CRAZIEST thing his little kid did that weekend.
